MONDRAGON keeps leading the world ranking

The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) and the European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises (Euricse) recently published the 2023 edition of the World Cooperative Monitor (WCM). The report, which includes the ranking of the 300 largest cooperatives and mutuals globally, once again positions MONDRAGON Corporation as the 'largest industrial cooperative in the world,' both in terms of the combined business volume of its cooperatives and its billing ratio to per capita gross domestic product.
The information in this edition is based on 2021 data and primarily comes from annual and sustainability reports, economic databases, data collected by national associations, research institutes, and other organizations.
Globally, the top three positions in the podium are occupied by two French groups in the financial sector: Groupe Crédit Agricole in first place and Groupe BPCE in third, with the German retailer Rewe in second. In the overall global ranking, the Top 300, which includes all categories, MONDRAGON is positioned at 45th.
